Calorie Goals

My fitness pal gave me a goal to lose 2lbs a week but my net calories has been under my goal. I've lost 7lbs already this week. Is it good or bad to eat less calories than the goal that my fitness pal has setup for me? My BMI is 46.7

if you are a big guy, you'll lose more in the beginning, but it will taper off.

however, i recommend that you go back to setting, and adjust your calorie goals to be a little more conservative. a pound per week is great.

and start strength training if you haven't already.

Yes! Use that excess calorie storage to your advantage. My biggest regret is not lifting sooner. Now I don't have much mass to draw from. If I had lifted when I first started I could have taken advantage of my excess weight.

The fatter you are, the easier it is to lose weight. Eat healthy food and don't eat if you're not hungry (unless you're exercising hard).

When I started at 250lb, it was surprisingly easy to eat only 1100-1200 calories a day and I was burning fat like crazy without even excercising or feeling weak.

I think it depends on how far under your calorie goal a day you are. If your calorie goal for example is 2200 and you net 1800 or 1900 I wouldn't say that would be so bad. I agree with the strength training advice also.

I started off at 314lbs, then I went to 310lbs to 307lbs. I am looking into strength training for this upcoming week. My calorie goal is 1990 but I always stop at like 1350-1500 calories. and I do an hour worth of exercise and burn more calories than I ate for the day.
