BURPEES FOR FITNESS - how many can you do in a row?

Full burpees , chest to floor and jump in the air with hands above your head.
50 unbroken, medium steady pace (25/min)
Start to slowly die after 20....
Did 50 burpee box jump over the other day(24' box) and nearly had a heart attack....

I can do alot in a row. I have never actually counted, but I end up looking like a fish out of water :laugh:0

burpees are a great full body exercise. I'm not sure if it would be categorized as a 'plyometric' exercise.. hm I wouldn't think so but it's a full body exercise.
It's used by elite athletes and military alike all over the world as a bench mark fitness tool.

Burpees were extremely difficult for me starting out, I could do 1 with extremely slow transitions. I can now do 25 solid one in a row at a nice steady pace. The hardest part for me in the jump back in after the push up, it's where I could use the most practice.0
