Commercial Weight Loss Challenges

I started a weight loss challenge at a gym. Their scale weighs me a full 7 lbs heavier than my home scale. Both are digital scales, although mine has the metal sensors under your feet. What gives?

Could be a lot of factors. What time do your weigh yourself at home vs at the gym? Have you eaten? Have you used the bathroom? What are you wearing? All those things can change what the scale says, and when you put them all together it can be quite a difference.

Weighed at gym then went home and weighed. same clothes, tho no sox. Do the metal sensors make it more accurate? (one can only hope?) :)
  • I've always found that scales vary. I suppose as long as you weigh yourself on the same one each time, you can keep track of how much you are losing.
