Insanity Fit Test Progress Check

Fit Test Progress Report - first number is Day 1, second number is Day 15:

Switch Kick: 42 --> 53
Power Jack: 43 --> 54
Power Knees: 65 --> 68
Power Jumps: 16 --> 22
Globe Jumps: 8 --> 9
Suicide Jumps: 7 --> 10
Push-Up Jacks: 13 --> 19
Low Plank Oblique: 17 --> 23

Polar FT4 was still really wonky, I think I don't have it tightened enough, but it stayed on for about 20 of the 25 minutes. I burned 270 calories in that time. Max HR of 191, average of 171

  • Fantastic improvement in 15 days! I'm on Day 7 today, so I'll post my results next week :)

    Some tricks I've used with my Polar FT4 are clipping the HRM on the band upside down or making sure the rubber on the band (which contacts your skin) is wet when you start it up. Also to keep it tight enough that it doesn't really move around during exercises.

    Could also be a battery problem in either the watch or the HRM (even if it's brand-new). I find the only time I have trouble with mine now is if I'm stretching or doing moves where my chest is waist-level or below - it seems to take a dramatic jump to a lower heart rate, but when I stand back up it goes back to where I expect it to be.

    Keep up the awesome work!!

    Thanks a lot!

    As for the FT4, I've bought some gel that is supposed to help it out some ,and made it tighter.

    I'm going to find out tomorrow what it does. If I'm having this many problems, and it's brand new, I will probably return it.
