Time to buy a new running shoes ... Saucony opinions

Hi. I'm looking for opinions on running shoes. I have Brooks Glycerin 9's which I LOVE & were quite an upgrade from my Nike's. Unfortunately, the current Glycerin 11's do not fit me the same as the 9's so I'm not willing to spend $150 for something that doesn't feel right. I ended up getting Saucony Progrid Guide 6's yesterday, but I've been wearing them around the house & I think they're going to rub the edge of my baby toe when I run. I got an 8.5 which is my normal size and what my Brooks are; the 9 in the Guide 6 was too big. Does anyone have experience with these Saucony's? Also, these were the only Saucony's that were at all comfortable. I'd like to stay in the $90-$120 range. Thanks for any input

For the first time I bought a pair of Nike's and love them. I read somewhere you should buy 1/2 size larger than what you wear due to swelling during exercise. Since I've started doing this my shoes fit much better.0

I would suggest looking online to see if you can find you Brooks Glycerine 9s again. It's pretty easy to find "old" models of shoes pretty cheep and new. Since you already know what size you wear that wouldn't be an issue.
I used to swear by Saucony, only shoes I would buy. Now I have switched over to Asics. For me they seem to last longer and don't affect my PF as much.0 -
i have Saucony shoes and they have completed rubbed out the back above the heel. had problems with the toe part getting holes also. next time will switch brands.0

When I was sized at the Running Room I was told to get 1/2 up in size, but when I was at the gym wearing them they were just too big for me so I got my regular size and did fine. Maybe try 1/2 size up and see? Most places don't mind if you workout in them once or twice if you don't wear them outside or scuff them up.
I have Asics GT 1000, I have now owned 2 pairs and really enjoy them.
I think they are about $129 depending where you live. I am in Canada.
I also agree with doing a search online if there is a pair you really like.0 -
I miss the old saucony sneakers. I tried to find the grid raider running shoe but not my size could I find anywhere. I don't like the new ones at all. All the ones I tried on did not fit well and were tight in different places. I had two pairs my gym ones and everyday ones. I just bought new everyday New balance ones and I don't love them. I am going to be very sad when my gym saucony ones have to be replaced.0

Interesting, with my first pair of Asics after about 7-8 months I felt I had worn them out - weren't as supportive and I did notice a small hole in the baby toe area. I do wear them 5-7 days a week so time frame they last didn't bother me. Now I wear them to work! But if the new pair does this (hole in baby toe area)I may try a new brand next time.0
