Please post a link to the toxins in the intestines. I'd love to read about it. Make sure it's a journal of medicine or scientific link too, not some "natural" or "pseudoscience" site.if the cleanse is working for them or something they want to do to jump start their weight loss, why knock it....... sometimes we need a cleanse... you may try to study up on all the TOXINS that are actually built up in your intestines....... and a good cleanse of those intestines and your system once in while is not always a BAD thing....... just saying....... btw,,, ive never cleansed LOL i used something once called super colon cleanse,,,,,,,,,,, but i needed to poop..... and that sure helped me poop.
a cleanse sometimes helps you lose the cravings or the addictions to carbs, sugars, stuff you dont need......

Thanks for your help. You've got me a little confused now though. mfp has my daily goal to loose 2 pounds a week based on my entries at 1280. I double checked in settings and that was based on sedentary. I am a stay at home mom so I changed it to lightly active and it bumped it up to 1580. When I add in exercise I just want to make sure I eat those calories correct?
5'10, 248, and 43. I guess I'm mainly looking at the amount I am below my daily goalThanks for answering my questions and not judging my choices. Just curious how you would define a "big" deficit
Depends. What's your height, weight and age?
My guesses were right. You burn approximately 1850 if you were to lay in bed all day. You burn about 2600 with normal light activity (takes some energy to move extra weight). If you were to eat 1850 calories you could easily lose almost 2 pounds a week. I've been doing this for almost 4 years now and it is much better to eat that much. You'll have energy, you won't feel hungry all the time and you'll be able to stick to it for much longer than eating 1400 calories.
It would depend on the amount of exercise. If you were burning 600-800 calories in an hour, you might want to add a small snack after the workout. But if you are eating 1600-1700 cals/day I wouldn't worry too much about "eating them back".0
