Heart Rate monitor..what do you think?

                    I am looking to get a heart rate monitor. I don't know what one to use? I am looking for a wrist one, as I want to be able to easily take it off, and not feel all awkward with it on. Any recommendations? And why? I might like one that I can sync to myfitness pal, but that is def. not a priority, since I can read 
 If it costs over 150, don't even tell me about it, because it wont happen! :P

I have read that a chest one is better and more accurate? How much more accurate? Quite frankly, I don't see how someone with boobs could wear one?! :P I mean, really will it make a difference if I wear the wrist one? I guess, give me your opinon on both and I'll decide from there...

 Just which one? I am obviously not going to be in one hr for the entire workout...so do they all tell you total calories burned? I guess I would like something that I can enter personal data on and it can track my hr and tell me when I hit stop, how many cal. i burned.

            Without a chest strap the calorie estimation is completely useless. To do an accurate estimate of calories burned a continuous heart rate measure is needed. The wrist ones need you to touch the watch for about 10 seconds to get a HR. Then it sticks with that HR until you touch it again. This is not going to give a number any more accurate than simply guessing or using the numbers MFP gives.
If you want a heart rate monitor get one with a chest strap. Polar HRMs are probably your best choice.0 - 
            I have the Polar ft7 and love it! It comes with a chest strap. It tells me my HR and how many calories I burned. Very simple and was only about $60 I think. Amazon or ebay.0

I can't wear a sports bra, they wont hold me up. So I have to wear a regular one.

At a size 14F (Australian) and 1 kid down I feel your pain. When I exercise I wear a moulded cup underwire bra under a proper soft cup 'sports' bra as opposed to a crop top and find with this combination I only bounce maybe 4-5cm in total (but I definitely feel 'strapped in'). It's the only way I can jog/dance/move very fast in general without a lot of pain.
I have no issue wearing a chest strap with this combination. I find the bras actually help to keep the strap firmly in place, and it doesn't go ANYwhere.
I would definitely suggest a chest strap to track. It will be the most accurate. Do a bit of research online to find out what known brands you can get for a good price where you are.0 -
