Hi ! Wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself. My name is Christine mother to 5 kiddos and excited to get on track to a healthier lifestyle. Before having kids around the age of 20 I was always fit, active and at a healthy weight. I used to feel good about myself and have tons of energy. Well after having 5 kids in a row my weight and self confidence took a toll.
I have never tried dieting or eating healthy but since I started MFP a week and a half ago I have already lost 8lbs. As little weight as that is it's be great motivation for me to keep going. All I have done thus far is cut out all the crap I had been eating, no more late night taco bell runs or 38oz sodas five times a day. Just honest healthy food for fuel
I'm really excited to see were this journey takes me and it's nice to feel like I am in control of my life for once !

Wow 8 pounds is great, your diet is the biggest part of the battle so if you've gotten that under control you're certainly off to a good start. Sending a request now, a good support system makes this journey so much easier0

Thanks for all the support ! I seriously have no time for exercise but find little ways to get it in. Washing dishes, cleaning your house, mowing the yard, cleaning up after my kids it all burns calories. Diet is probably the biggest factor for me I seriously had no idea what a normal serving size is my husband and I bought a food scale and now weight out all our food, it's a wake up call from what I was eating.0

Way to go!!! You're on the right track. I'm right there with you, although I have six kids. I used myfitnesspal in addition to working out at Curves For Woman and had managed to lose 25 pounds and 25 inches in about 4 months. I took it for granted, quit logging the food and slowly it started creeping back on. Anyway, I'm back on and ready to get healthy again. It's nice to see other people on here that are just like me. It's motivational and I feel like I have my own personal cheering squad. Anyway, best of luck. Hope it goes well.0

congrats on the 8 pounds, as long as you eat healthy you will for sure feel a change in your attitude, your energy, and just holistically feel better. Welcome to MFP!0
