It may seem stupid, but I want to know what everyone gets at the grocery store! I'd like to learn some new foods that are more healthy for you! What is tasty? What isn't? Let me know!

I am kind of a nerd but I try to decide what recipes I am going to make for the week, load them into a program and then it auto populates the list for me. Some of my staples are almond milk, apples, frozen fruit to mix in my protein shakes, chicken, and lots of frozen steamable veggies.0

I also buy lots of frozen steamable veggies every week.
Also, raw veggies to make soups.
And of course lean meat, yogurts and cottage cheese...0 -
I just went to Trader Joe's yesterday! I got a lot of fresh produce: apples, mushrooms, green scallion onion, spinach, "power to the greens" mix (spinach, kale, other lettuce blends), grapefruit, strawberries (out of season so pricey, but they are my favorite fruit so I buy them year round!), teriyaki marinated tofu, low carb wraps, clif bars for snacks for work/school (I'm a college student), sweet potatoes, liquid egg whites, whole eggs. Other things I like to have are blueberries/raspberrries, pomegranate seeds (goes well in Greek yogurt), tilapia, salmon, chicken, lean beef, almond milk/skim milk (can't stand almond milk alone but I use it in recipes and smoothies), bananas, wheat bread, lite mozzarella cheese, carrots, hummus, oatmeal, diet hot cocoa packets, tea, coffee.0
-
Blueberries, even if they cost a bit more than other fruit.0

I like to get the dry beans, lentils, split peas, barley... my store has a dozen or so different items like that. I get one and a few random vegetables and put it in the crock pot. The house smells good when you get home and when you do the math it's like 100 cal/cup.0
-
I eat the same three meals pretty much every day so take mine with a grain of salt
Every other week I buy:
Oats
Boneless skinless chicken breasts
Eggs
Sunflower seeds
Yogurt
Cottage cheese
Every week I buy:
5 avocados
Bananas
Carrots
Cuties/oranges
Spinach
Squash/whatever veggies0 -
Veggies (Lettuce, cabbage, carrots, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, bell pepper, celery..)
Fruits (apples, bananas, clementines, grapes, melon...)
Dairy (Skim milk, non fat yogurts, low fat cottage cheese, low fat margarine, Light laughing cows wedges, eggs)
Carbs (Ebly, rice, rice cakes, low cal wraps, oats)
Others (Nesquik chocolat powder, tomato sauce, olive oil, Heinz ketchup, mustard, coke zero, tuna canned in water)
The base x)0 -
These are so awesome! I bought a bunch of stuff. I actually bought some raw veggies (broccoli, carrots, cucumber) but did not buy fruit. I have 2 bags of apples I have yet to use, and I need to use before they go bad...if they haven't already. I love egg whites more than I do regular eggs. The smell makes me sick and they make my stomach hurt, so egg whites save me all that trouble! See a lot of things I've never heard of, so I'll definitely check into that for next time! I think this is great for others to go on as well. It gives them variety!0
