Fitbits and Jawbones- love them? Hate them? Which one?

First off, I am not new to using MFP but I am new to the community boards so this may or may not be in the right area (forgive me). Just to give you a little background about myself- I have been and on and off exerciser for years and started running 5ks in the last couple of years. I'm looking to lose a considerate amount of weight to improve my health and improve my running. I have considered purchasing a Fitbit or a Jawbone to help keep track of my daily progress. Who has one of these items and which version do you have? Are the worth the investment? Thanks for your input!

    I have a Fitbit Force and I love it. I've had the zip which was great but wanted something that showed more informatin and the Force does it. I'm very happy with my Fitbit and totally recommend it.

    I don't have a Fitbit pedometer but I do have the Aria scale. I love it! It connects through wifi to MFP account and I can use the app to keep track of my BMI and %BF and calories in vs. calories out. I'm still learning how to use it, but it's been interesting.

    My Fitbit is the ideal tool to track my activity throughout the day. If running is your primary exercise, though, a heart rate monitor may be better for you.
