I would like to know your positive results using Scooby's Workshop method and Calorie Calculator!
I keep going back and forth in my brain about eating more calories than I have been and using that method.
So I would like to hear your story. Is it an accurate method? How much weight have you lost eating TDEE minus cut etc.....
Anything to help give me that extra push to do this.
Thank you!

If you're doing it right, it's 6 of 1 half dozen of the other. You have to understand that MFP's 1200 calories is the most aggressive approach...doing TDEE - 20% is roughly 1 Lb per week for most people...it is far less aggressive, so you have to first be comparing apples to apples where your goals are concerned.
My MFP goal to lose about 1 Lb per week was 1850...with exercise I was grossing 2100 - 2300 calories depending on the day. My TDEE - 20% on Scooby's workshop is 2160 calories. As you can see....6 of 1, half dozen of the other.0 -
I used MFP, Scooby's and IIFY to get an average. They are all close and I rarely eat all my calories in a day. I have found if I keep my calorie intake around 1800-2100 range I still lose weight.0

There's a group here on MFP called "Eat more to weigh less", check it out!0

You read my mind- I have also really struggled to subscribe to the eat more approach. The arguments both for and against starvation mode are compelling; I am always revising my calories without really giving anything a good chance.
I recently read the following article, and found it made alot of sense (to me). It explains everything very well, but advises the TDEE - 20%. This for me is basically my BMR + 200cals, but is 200 shy of 1200 + exercise cals. I'm aiming for somewhere in the middle
