Mental attitude, I want this to work. Therefore it will.
Knowledge, I found out how to lose weight. (MFP)
Work both sides of the equation, eat better and work out.
Don't give up, we all have off days, just get back on the wagon.
Set regular achievable targets, so you have milestones to tick off on the way.

Well this has worked for me.

    My mind!

I'm not there yet, but I had to have a new mental outlook to lose weight. Still working on it.

Standing in my truth, by logging and recording my food, on the good days and bad.

My support network here on MFP.

Finding something to burn a few extra cals every few days, I started dancing again. I am now doing dumbbell workouts to build some strength as well.

Not giving up because I fell down a few times.

Reading about what others have done to succeed.

I set very small goals, and keep track of how I am progressing, I don't put much energy into the final goal and fixating on that, it is more important to understand what I am doing right each day. They will add up and I will have created the me I want to be.

Having says to inspire me around helps too, these two are good ones to start with:

"You have two lives, the second one begins the moment you realize you only have one. Make every moment count"

“If you don’t make the time to work on creating the life you want, you’re eventually going to be forced to spend a LOT of time dealing with a life you DON’T want.” - Kevin Ngo

    Good luck on your journey.
