Which one do I choose??
Not really interested in PB2 because it seems like its highly processed... unless I have been misinformed

For me, I will eat the entire jar of Nutella so I stick to both organic peanut or almond butter which I can eat 1 or 2 tablespoons at a sitting.
I spread the nut butters on apples, bananas or sourdough pretzels.0 -
If I were to choose, I'd go with almond butter, as I like the taste better than peanut butter and I find it has the macro and micronutrients that suits my diet better. Nutella is crack - one taste and I'll end up in a back alley dumpster covered in empty Nutella jars.
By the way, have you tried hazelnut butter. Very good, too!0 -
Whatever you like. But nutella has added sugar, and the other two should not.0
-
I like almond butter more than peanut butter, just flavor-wise.
Nutella :drinker: Made me a fan of hazelnuts0 -

Nutella is a trigger for me. I'd rather mix cacao powder and almond butter with a little honey and call it good. So.. almond butter.0
-
Whatever you think tastes better on whatever you're putting it on?0
-
Usually pb. Unless I'm eating apple slices, then always almond butter. Never tried nutella.0

It isn't any more processed then any of the nut butters. It is just peanuts. It actually has less ingredients than 95% of most peanut butters. They just remove the oil (fat).0 -
Nutella. Not even a contest here.

Ummmmm....NUTELLA!!!0

Nutella is a trigger for me as well. I usually have peanut butter. I either make it myself in my Vitamix, or I'll buy 100% peanuts butter (ie, the ingredients literally say: Just peanuts)
Almond butter goes great with fruit though.0 -
almond butter! just the almonds. nutella is more of a treat. natural peanut butter is also fine but almond butter is a great choice for getting your vitamin e. Also, almond butter is from a tree nut, whereas peanuts are actually legumes and can cause bloating in some individuals.
okay, i agree. nutella is a trigger for me and for me, it's like crack in a jar!0 -
skippy does a natural dark chocolate and peanut butter spread. that is one of my main go-to "cheater" snacks. nutella is too sweet for my liking.0

I eat 2 Tbs of natural peanut butter (ground fresh at the grocery store) on whole wheat toast every day at work for lunch. I really just love the taste of peanuts I guess, but almond butter is also very good. I general like my almonds whole though as a snack, plus the butter is a little expensive for daily use. I recommend doing some taste tests to see what you like best, and definitely read the labels. I think the Smuckers Natural PB is very good, and there is nothing added except for a little bit of salt. Most peanut butters taste different from one another because they have all kinds of extra added junk. But hey, I still buy Jif Creamy because that's what my very fit husband and sons really like.0 -
Nutella is crap and highly processed as well. Almond butter and peanut butter are the best choices as long as they dont have anything but peanuts and almonds in them, i.e.no sugar, oil, etc0

I'm all about the almond butter because of the micro nutrients and because I prefer the taste. It can be considerably more expensive, though. But in the end I think it is really just a personal choice. I'm a big fan of nuts in general. . Nutella is the devil, at least for me, and so I wouldn't dare bring it in the house.0

You can get fresh peanut butter from Whole Foods. Only Peanuts! You squeeze them in the machine yourself.0

Right... PB2 should be natural peanut butter (the kind you stir and refrigerate), but just without as much oil in the top of the jar0 -
I make my own peanut butter...lightly salted, roasted peanuts. I've never been able to get into almond butter even though I love almonds and eat them pretty much daily. Nutella is just not my thing.0
-
Depends on what you're using it for. I like the taste of almond butter so I use that in place of peanut butter for most things (like sandwiches), but I still keep peanut butter on hand to make sauces. And Nutella's more of a dessert thing.0
-
Nutella is candy.
The other two are nut butters.0 -
Although Almond Butter is delicious, peanut butter is the victor. Why do you say?

I have all of them in the cabinet at home. Sometimes I'll even throw a sunflower seed or soy butter in the mix. The only thing is Nutella really is more sugary. IMO it tastes like chocolate frosting - I think of it as a dessert food.0
-
If you get the opportunity to have sunflower butter, try it, its amazing.
As far as the other nut butters go, I think it varies per company and product, read your labels. We get organic almond butter from Costco.
I would not classify Nutella as a nut butter as much as I would a treat food. I love nutella and will not give it up and am fortunate enough to be able to eat it in moderation. My sister on the other hand, well she opens up a jar and its gone with in an hour.0 -
Nutella all the way.. but that's only because it tastes incredible! Something I used to love to eat as a child when I lived in Athens and they had Croissants filled with Nutella in the inside.. amazing!0
-
I'm all about Adam's peanut butter. I've tried replacing it with almond butter, but it just doesn't do it for me.0

PB2 from Bell Plantation (their official site) reduces fat through a chemical-free process. Like all Bell Plantation products, PB2 and Chocolate PB2 are all natural, preservative free, and contain no artificial sweeteners. Ingredients:
Ingredients Roasted peanuts, sugar, and salt
Wish that it didn't have sugar or salt in it so I could decide if I want to ad my own preference of sweetener
Nutrella (From NutrellaUSA site) • Over 50 Hazelnuts per 13 oz. Jar
• Contains No Artificial Colors
• Contains No Artificial Preservatives
INGREDIENTS: SUGAR, PALM OIL, HAZELNUTS, COCOA, SKIM MILK, REDUCED MINERALS WHEY (MILK), LECITHIN AS EMULSIFIER (SOY), VANILLIN: AN ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR.
If you are using an all natural peanut butter or almond butter, they would probably be the best unless you need to reduce the fat intake for medical reasons ... Nutrella seems to be pretty much just junk food though with oil and artificial flavor and sugar as the primary ingredient. Probably not bad to have if you aren't a sugar addict (like me) and if it doesn't set you off, on Occasion.
I just love to have some totally fresh almond butter like at Wild Oats when we lived in Albuquerque (20 years ago) you could put your own nuts (organic) into the machine and make your own natural. YUMMY. I have to be careful with that too tho:(0
