Frustration

Does anyone else do this? Whenever I eat things I shouldn't- I feel like I have to hide it from my husband. It's like I'm lying to myself - if no one else knows about it, then it doesn't count.
I did that on my way home from work and I'm so mad at myself. It's unhealthy and embarrassing. Please tell me I'm not alone. Who else is a closet eater?

Did you log it though? That's what I think would be more important than whether hubby knows or not. I have eaten things no human knows about - but my food log always knows.0

I did log it- it hurt... But I logged it0

No please don't do this to yourself. Have an occasional treat and don't feel guilty about it - just log it and move on.0

Well great job then! You're doing just fine. The problems come when you hide it from your log too.
And I agree with above - everyone needs an occasional treat.0 -
I am glad you mentioned this because I am somewhat the same way, AND so is my fiance. He is trying to cut junk (donuts) because he is currently trying to cut. Well, on Sunday morning I found a donut bag on the front seat of his car....surprise! I asked him about it and he was so embarassed. He said he felt so guilty afterwards. I think it's somewhat normal, but I think you shouldn't restrict yourself so much from wanting something. If you want it, have it, just in a smaller portion.0

You are absolutely not alone!! My biggest problem is my husband works Saturdays and I am off, home alone, ALL DAY. And I think "oh just a Hershey kiss here, just a cracker there, maybe a sip of iced tea". I don't even log it because it's just one bite right? And nobody knows!! And I worked out this morning, so it's ok!! But of course, this always leaves me feeling guilty and frustrated with myself when the scale doesn't go down or doesn't go down very quickly. I just wish I knew how to stop it, other than just trying not to eat it. Just remember that it's a journey, and nobody is 100% perfect all the time! :flowerforyou:0
