I stay under my calories on a daily basis, I exercise 5 times a week changing my routine regularly but I get on the scale every morning (I read somewhere to weigh yourself every day) some days I lose a ¼ or ½ lb. and some days I gain, is this normal?

The only thing you can do is stop looking at the scale every other day and do it once a week or month. It's normal water weight fluctuation. Your body can fluctuate 5-10 lbs a day. Also, how under are you staying under your goal? And can you open your diary?0

I agree with the above poster, maybe start only weighing yourself once a week.
Also, 1/4 of a pound is only 100g! That's barely anything. Your body changes a lot each day, it could be water wait, or food that's still in your system from that day/the night before. I would not be concerned about 100-250g fluctuation each day. If you're losing weight gradually overall, it's nothing to be concerned about.0 -

yes its normal, as long as there is an overall trend of losing weight over the weeks its fine.0 -
It's so much conflicting information on the world wide web. Some say weigh everyday and some say the same day every month. I exercise 6 days a week to include 4 spin classes M, Tu, Th, & Sat, 2 Kettlebell classes M & F, and 3x a week I lift weights (full body Sunday) light Tuesday and Thursday before spin class) and rarely enter information in my diary to reflect the calories burned.0

For a person like myself, I can weigh every day to watch trends. But for most people new to fitness, especially women who live and die by the scale, should not get on the scale everyday. It's all based on an emotional state. Heck, I lol'ed after I got on the scale after xmas with a 7lb gain.
Also, since you are consistent with yoru workouts, I would highly suggest just changing your account to active and 1 lb per week. This way you do not have to eat back exercise calories. You can also change your macros to around 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fats. Generally, this will allow you to hit 1g of protein and .35g of fat per lb of lean body mass.0
