I'm a massage therapist. Does anyone have any ideas on how many calories are burned during a basic swedish massage??

    Probably a gazillion, I know the gal who does my massages has the strongest arm muscles! My husband goes to her too for massages and when he leaves, he alwasy says, "Well, I'm off to get the crap beat outta me!" :laugh:

    Hi...I'm a massage therapist also. There are sites out there but none of them are consistant...some sites say 200 per hour some say 300 and some say 400. It makes sense to me because everyone massages differently...and its hard to put a number on it if you don't know how hard someone is working...if they are seated or standing... or what type of massage you are working on. :happy:
