Reducing my Arm Fat....

I am not seeing much reduction in my arms yet. since Sept, I have lost 37lbs and can really tell, excpet for my upper arms. I do cardio and strength 3x per week as well as maintain what I eat. From everything I have read, this can be normal and eventually my arms will start to shrink? Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what else should I be doing??

  • Have you been using a tape measure? The eyes can be deceiving. You should invest in a tape measure for both your arms and your waist. Good luck!
  • It was one of the last places I lost weight. Just keep up the great work. :)

People all hold fat differently. You could do some strength training too. Best analogy I've heard was muscle is an island and fat is the water. To get more land to show you can lower the water level or raise the land. For best results it's a combination of the 2.
  • The tape measure should be your best friend. I have super fat arms and that's the only way I can tell that they're getting smaller/more muscle firmer. Usually the arms are last to go

I've been lifting weights on and off for over a year (on and off due to injury) and am finally seeing more definition in my arms as I get stronger and build muscle. I still have a tiny "batwing" left, but it's much smaller than it used to be. Just be patient, good things will happen in due time. :)
  • thanks everyone! its good to know that the info I have gotten is very consistent with what I have been told.. so patience seems to be my only option here! Thanks Again!!!
