Shakeology same as SlimFast?

I keep reading about Shakeology and how amazing it supposedly is. I am from the UK and it is not available here so I cannot comment on taste or anything.

Personally I always thought that a simple protein shake will do the same job just add some multi vitamins. Probably a protein shake is even better as a Shakeology only has 17g of protein whereas most protein shakes have about 25g.
As I was reading about it it's been mentioned that it's a meal replacement so I just compared the nutritional value to a SlimFast shake and it is not far off at all.

So is Shakeology just a new version of Slimfast? What is all the fuss about? Maybe someone can explain it to me...I assume as Beachbody is behind it it is just clever marketing...
