No, no , no!0

No. There are tons of people on here with amazing physiques who eat all the foods they enjoy, including sugar etc. I don't think of any food as bad or junk, it's just food and it can all be incorporated in to a healthy fitness or weight loss plan.
Read these. They're great!

I think you need a little bit of sugar to keep yourself on track as long as you do not go overboard with it a little bit is not going to hurt0
-
I love sugar.
ETA: Someone told me that I'd have to cut out all sugars, refined foods, processed food... basically EVERYTHING YUMMY... if I wanted a 6-pack. He was wrong too.0 -
A large amount isn't going to hurt if you aren't diabetic and it doesn't put you over your calories.0

I think him posting it on a fitness forum contributes to doing his own research :drinker: Yay for self-empowerment!0 -
every food has sugar in it.... so unless you want to die then i don't recommend cutting out all sugars0

Mfp forum is not doing research.
I meant research as in from reputable sources which mfp is very not. Maybe a little better than youtube... *maybe* doubt it0 -
No you don't...also...
- you would be hard pressed to cut out all sugar...basically you could eat plain grilled chicken breast and that's pretty much it.
- fat is an essential macro nutrient...cutting out fat and sugar (carbs)...again...what would you eat. Low fat/no fat diets cause more problems than they solve.
to get "toned" you just need to cut fat while preserving muscle mass.0 -

If I put my rage towards teh foodz I am eating, does that mean I can eat more of it? Say I burn 2,000 calories with rage on a box of Oreos, should I eat back those burnt calories in pizza and beer?0 -
To be fair, I do believe most people cut way, way back on sugars before a fitness competition. It's only temporary though. It's not sustainable, and it's a few steps past "toned".0
