I bet everybody is going to look at this and think there is something magical to do to lose weight fast. But the hard truth is. The best most effective way to lose weight and keep it off is to change the way you are currently living. I've read tons of threads with people looking for that "magic pill". We here's the truth. There are pills out there that make you lose weight while still eating the same things, but the second you stop taking them, if you haven't changed the way you eat or exercise, you will start putting weight back on. And it will probably be more than before and it will be harder to take it off the next time.
We all have are issues and reasons that we don't eat health or don't exercise. But if you want to be thin, for what ever reason, be it health or vanity, you have to work at it. And if most of you are like me it is work. I would love to eat icecream everyday, but I know I can't and I have to make a mental choice not to eat it and some times that is really hard. But if I want to look good and be health that is the choice I have to make.
That is why I'm so thankful for this web site. It is full of useful advise on how to diet and exercise. And it is a great way for me to keep track of both. For all of you out there like me that are trying to lose, don't give up it is a long slow process, and you have to just take one day at a time and remember if you don't do so well today there is always tomorrow.
Here are a few tips that I do have (for those of you still reading) that have helped me.
1. Eat broth based soups as much as possible for meals
2. Switch from pop to tea
3. Drink water
4. Keep track of EVERYTHING you eat, and be honest
5. Exercise
6. Con some one into doing this with you, they will help keep you focused
7. Take up a hobby like crochet or cross-stitching, this will keep your hands and mind off snacking
8. This is the best one, Reserve one day a week to eat what ever you want and as much as you want, this tells your body that there is food out there to eat and that you are not starving, believe me it works, and it also helps keep the cravings down so you are less likely to cheat the rest of the week.
Good luck to everybody out there.

Thanks for all the helpful tips.
I think the eating anything you want one day a week is a wonderful thing. When I was in the best shape of my life that is exactly what I did. It was like a reward for me for having worked hard all week. And yes, it kept me from craving junk throughout the week because I knew I would be eating it later on in the week.0 -
Great advice. I really want to succeed this time so this info should help me keep focused.0
