I always hear/ read different ways to breath during your workout. So which is better?
Breath in through nose and exhale through mouth
or
Breath in through nose and exhale through nose
Thanks!!

I think it all depends on the exercise/activity. I've done a lot of muay thai kickboxing and in order to make sure I'm breathing efficiently, I take forceful breaths in/out through the mouth with every punch/kick/elbow/knee...it almost sounds like I'm saying "Shh!" to someone with each move. It feels and sounds funny while learning it, but after a while, it becomes natural and keeps you from getting winded easily.
With things like Pilates or Yoga, I'm still learning the appropriate breathing techniques. They're much different.0 -
in through the nose and out through the mouth, and when it's intense and you are taking those short breaths and can hardly talk, slow and deep through the nose and slow and deep out the mouth it will help bring your heart rate to a pace that will help you get through the work out!0
