Hunger!

Thanks for taking the time to read this
Today I am finding myself SO hungry. I "officially" started living a new lifestyle yesterday. I worked out pretty hard core yesterday burning about 600 calories. I ate all but 100 back on top of my goal of 1540, so in total I ate over 2000 calories yesterday. I have worked out today and burned only 200 but I am finding myself ravenous. What should I eat to try and make me less hungry? I have decided that hunger is not an option, FULL is not an option either, just content.
What kind of foods allow me to feel content or more full without too many calories?
Is there a certain combination that you find that works for you? As in protein and carbs together or fat, etc.
Thanks so much!

First of all, congrats on making the decision on taking control of your health! Keep at it and amazing things will happen!
Secondly, every body is different so you'll definitely need to experiment to see what works for you but what works for me is making sure I eat a mix of protein and fibre at EVERY meal AND snack. Protein takes longer to break down in the body and fibre expands to fill you up a bit more.

Your diary isn't open, but you probably need to cut down on sugar and refined carbs.0

Make sure you're getting plenty of protein, fats and fibre. These are the most satiating types of food.0

This ^^ Fat, to me, is most satiating. Protein and fiber help as much with feeling full longer, but I never feel satisfied with a low fat meal, no matter how much protein or fiber or anything else it contains. Fat makes food taste good.0 -
What are some examples of "Fat-filled" foods?0

Personally, I cook just about everything I eat in extra virgin olive oil. I buy it by the gallon. I love roasted veggies - just toss almost any vegetable in olive oil and spices (I use black pepper, ceyenne and garlic on most things) and roast until they start to brown. I saute or grill or roast lean meats coated in olive. I saute leafy greens such as kale, collard greens, etc. or green beans in olive oil and garlic.
I snack on nuts or peanut butter, which area filled with healthy fats. Cocoa roast almonds are my go-to dessert in the evenings.0
