Is this an accurate report or is it MFP's way of encouraging us to stay on track? I've only been actively trying to lose weight for 10 days now and I haven't had much difference to my weight therefore I was wondering if other people who have been on the weight loss journey for longer than 5 weeks on MFP can tell me if this was correct for them?

It's not 100% accurate... but it should give you a general idea of where you'll be in 5 weeks.
I've been tracking mine and I'm almost always within 2 lbs.0 -
All my days are different, so i never take stock in it. It's just fun for me to look and sometimes it makes me laugh.
Ex: the nights i play volleyball i burn so many calories it shows a big weight loss in the 5 weeks. but i can't play volleyball every night!0 -
Mine are NEVER right! I would have been at my goal weight by now! It kinda actually makes me really crazy! I'm glad they have some sort of indication that you are "on track" but not these false hopes!0
