Eating Back Exercise Calories

Hi guys, im wondering about eating back calories (yes i know). The problem i have is that i am struggling to eat enough to make my MFP target never mind the calories i burn during my gym work out. Im currently doing 40 mins of cardio and about the same in resistance training 5 times a week. According to my HRM im burning about 600-700 cals a session depending on what i do. on those days my net is really low. Im just struggling to eat enough as im full and satisfied. I have lost just over a stone since boxing day and 5 inches off my waist.

Will it make weight loss harder, or will i be doing myself damage.

My diary is open.

Kevin

If you're struggling to eat all your calories you don't necessarily need to eat more - just eat differently. Choose higher calorie foods to eat, add sauces and dressings, eat small, high calorie foods like nuts. Or just eat more biscuits :P For example I eat pub food a lot, and their sausage & mash is about the same amount of food as their lasagne, but twice the calories. It's easy to eat a lot of calories without eating much food.

I think you should eat you exercise cals back, or at least a portion of them. You don't want to starve yourself.

Big calorie deficits and low protein intake puts you at risk of losing too much muscle mass along with your fat loss.

I wonder if you are over-restricting on what foods you are now eating? None of us got fat because we struggled to eat!!

I see lots if items in your diary that say low-fat, skim, reduced-calorie, etc...if you're having trouble reaching your calorie minimum, stop using lower calorie versions of things.
    Also, ice cream.

never thought of not using diet stuff, guess its not that obvious when its drilled into you to eat those items.

Could i bulk them up on training days with protein shakes?

You really need to re-evaluate your burns, gym cardio? what is that?

Marchines and MFP are known to over estimate.

But that being said....you are eating to little food. I am a 41 year old woman and eat more than you and I could eat more.

Min for a man should be 1800 calories. Drink a beer, have some pizza, chips whatever.

But as another poster said stop with the low fat low calorie stuff.

That was just a option i put in so i could manually enter the cals my HRM said.

I guess i am eating to little.
