Heart rate/Calorie monitor watch UK

Hi I am looking at getting a watch that measures calories burnt during exercise. I don't want to spend a lot. I have seen some ebay that say they are under £10. Has anyone had experience of one off eBay that are so cheap. Area they accurate.

Thanks

    Hi,

I bought a polar FT4 with a chest strap after doing research and reading reviews that ones that don't have a chest strap can be a bit hit and miss, I would probably say if you get a ten quid one use it's info as a guide rather than fact. I think even with the chest strap one I have it won't be 100% accurate but probably just a very close guess. You probably do to some extent get what you pay for but hopefully someone will be able to recommend something good for your budget, as I've not had any practical experience of an eBay one just relied on reviews. xxx

if I was you I'd wait until you have a little more money any ones you find around that price are normally not very user friendly and there accuracy is questionable and aren't likely to last long. You can pick up a Polar FT4 from around £40 (depending on where you look). I find polars very user friendly. They are well built and can handle the daily abuse they get.

Got this fro Argos a year ago & it has always worked great & only got a new one because I wanted to link my HRM to the PC, my wife is using it now.

Perhaps it's abit thicker than others @ double the cost but it works well.
