Liquid Diet

First let me say that I need to do this because of a Medical Digestive Issue, it's not some type of crash diet for me. I need to go on a primarily liquid diet (probably for a 1-2 week period at a minimum), but need some help doing it in a way that I'm not going to feel super deprived and cheat. I would appreciate any tips, food/meal suggestions, and nutritional balance tips that someone who's been in my situation might have. Thanks.

IDK. PROTEIN SHAKES ARE BOMB.0

If it's a digestive issue, are there any limitations on the types of foods you can have?0

They need to be liquid, no solids. I have to use dairy substitutes like Soy or Almond milks. Other than that? I don't have insurance, so I couldn't take advantage of a nutritionist. I have kids and so I'm just concerned about walking around eating things like jello all day. I want to achieve as much as a healthy balance as possible on such a limited diet.0

Having a decent amount of protein in my meals helps me feel full. You could make some decent smoothies with lots of fruits and veggies (including the dark leafy green ones), add in some peanut butter or protein powder to make it more filling. I'm not sure how to combat the fat issue, as you need good fats for a balanced diet.0

Since you have a diagnosed medical digestive issue, wouldn't your doctor have referred you to a dietician that could answer your questions and set up a meal(?) plan for/with you?0 -
If you'll see above, I have been referred to do this by a medical professional, but as I don't have insurance I can't afford to see the nutritionist. I have been given basic instructions, but have to work out the logistics of this on my own.0

Ah, I see that now.
In that case, below is a link to the University of Virginia's Medical Department with some info/recommendations regarding liquid diets. Hope this helps.

It would be helpful to know what the basic instructions were. Other than dairy, is there anything you need to avoid?
There are vegan protein powders available, could you use those?0 -
That info TR0berts linked to looks good. I was just going to suggest blending soups. It sounds depressing, blending up all your regular food, but I bet with the right extra liquid, it could make tasty soups. Like they mention lasagna - blend that up with some extra tomato juice, and it's probably a really flavorful soup.
This is something I've made several times and loved, and it's supposed to be blended and strained, even with the meat:

Also, you can't swing a stick on pinterest without hitting a smoothie recipe - check some of those out.0 -
My thoughts would be protein shakes, soups & broths and plenty of water.0

Two slices of pizza and two cups of almond milk, stick it in a blender and have a pizza shake. And yes, I'm serious.
