Does your body get use to certain exercises you do repetively? I use to do a work out that now its showing I burned less calories. I am monitoring my calories with the same device?

After you do an exercise or do the same workout repetitively for a certain amount of time your body starts getting used to it so you don't burn as many calories as the first time you did it. Also when you weigh less you burn less calories doing certain exercises and workouts compared to when you where at a heavier weight. Hope this helps answer your question.

You get a little more efficient at an activity so you burn slightly less calories if you were doing the exact same exercise as you used to but you also become able to physically perform the activity more vigorously so it's not like you should change activities just because you're getting good at it. If this question is leading to "Do I need muscle confusion?" the answer is no, that whole concept is pretty bogus.

What is probably happening is that you're using a HR monitor that either isn't taking account of your changing VO2max OR you aren't updating the VO2max settings along the way. This is a major flaw in using HRMs for calorie calculation. The whole relationship is dependant on your VO2max which changes as you get more fit.
