How much should I trust the online nutrition found at company website. For exampleI went out to subway last night and their website says my 6" is only 244 calories.
That sounds low to me. Should I trust their website calculator?

If you can't trust the website then what are you going to "trust"?0

Most places don't add cheese, sauces, extra veggies etc...which add up fast. Not to mention if u get a drink, I chips or a cookie with it. Bout just the sauces and cheese add up fast.0

the 244 calories is likely for ONLY the bread and meat. Most sandwich shops don't account for the cheese, mayonnaise, oil, dressings, toppings & etc for their sandwiches because they let people pick and choose what goes on. You'll have to figure all that out separately. So yeah, 244 IS low for a fully loaded 6" sandwich, but seems reasonable when you only count the bread & meat part.0 -

Good point. Thank you for your answers0 -
Subway also has a build your sub part which lets you say what you put on in kind of bread etc0

Definitely use their sub builder! Go to the website and click "Menu" then "all sandwiches" and find the one you ate, click that and it'll take you to a new screen where you can select "calculate yours"0

Their basic values do not include what they consider topings and dressings, so no sauce, veggies, or cheese are counted.0

I read a study once that apparently concluded that most outside stores underestimate calories. BUT Subway had been the one store that overestimated, if that makes you feel better. Haha.0

It should say it's only for the bread and turkey with no extra. Google 'subway calorie calculator' and you should find something that will calculate the calories with everything you put in it.0
