Hi, I'm new and a bit weary of posting topics. I have tried several other sites and every time I posted something asking a question I usually just got a bunch of people who just want to be jerks. I am trying to Jillian Michaels ripped in 30 on my xbox one, and I made it to 24 minutes before I finally gave in, which I'm proud of myself I made it 24 minutes of a more intense workout than I'm used to, but I'm a little confused with the calorie burn. the Xbox one has a sensor that shows you how to match up with the trainer and tells you if you're not going low enough if you're going too slow and what have you, and for the most part I did a pretty good job of keeping up, but it shows after 24 minutes I only burned 86 calories. I also have a heart rate monitor that I got and it tells me my high heart rate my low heart rate and it can calculate with my heart rate and the time of the exercise how many calories are burned. It has given me a reading of 130. I wanted to looked it,up in,the database here but I can't find the workout. Nothing that says ripped in 30 or Jillian Michaels. just in case anyone's advice is to go ask my doctor, I don't have a doctor. I haven't had a doctor since I was pregnant over three years ago, and I don't intend to get one anytime soon unless they're free.

Look for Circuit training in the database but keep in mind it is often over what true burns are.
HRM are good to have for steady state cardio but Ripped in 30 is not that...
What I would do it look is up in the database and record 50-75% of it.0 -
Definitely go by the HRM. When I wear mine and do the JM DVDs, when I add it under circuit training, the calorie count is pretty similar but I always go by the HRM because it truly depends on the effort.0

Good for you for making it that far! I've actually had the opposite problem with the Xbox One monitor. It always says I burn more than I did compared to my HRM on everything I've done so far. I just ignore whatever the number on the screen says and go with my HRM.0

HRM with a chest strap are good for steady state cardio not circuit training.0

The total video is 35 minutes long (warm up, workout, cool down) and I record it as 25 minutes of circuit training.0

Hi! Can you please explain me how it works exactly? It's level 1 for 10 straight days then level 2 for another 10 straight days and finally 10 days at level 3? The exercises at each level are the same every day or each day is different? Thanks0

I'm still a new to circuit training, so I guess I have to do some research to find out, more on what it is. Thank you for the tips and info. @ missing75, that's a question for someone more knowledgeable than myself. On the xbox, it showed 4 workouts so maybe the same routine for a week? I found that I was able to keep up because there weren't any really fancy or complicated moves, just hard to match the speed. Once again, thank you everyone.0
