Hi All,
I was just wondering if I can count housework as exercise?

You CAN log it into your cardio section. I wouldn't, and I don't. When MFP asks you to log your "activity level," I took my everyday cleaning into consideration. I selected "lightly active." I didn't want to overestimate how many calories I was burning.0

I don't really break a sweat when I do housework, so I don't put it as exercise. I think people overestimate the amount of calories they burn from cleaning the house. The calorie burn and heart rate increase I get from pushing a vacuum is nothing compared to a brisk walk or cycling.0

I know there's an option, but I don't. To me it's just part of everyday. But I may allow myself an extra treat on the day I do my spring cleaning.0

I am doing a blitz of the whole home today and having a major clearout and wondered if this counted lol, but I will just say its bonus calories burned. I wouldn't have eaten extra anyway. Thanks guys x0
