Yep, mainly for cakey type things. Not pure chocolate per se but like chocolate cake or brownie. The mix of gluten + chocolate I think is my downfall!

Nope...not anymore. I occasionally have emotional moments where I consider diving in to copious amounts of whatever, but I know that it won't help so I don't do it.

It is really hard for me to resist the urge to bite my nails.

I don't because I don't deprive myself of anything, so if I want a candy bar or a cookie, I make it fit into my day.

In the past, when I used to go on a diet, I always had cravings because I told myself I couldn't have something so than I would finally cave in eat too much of it, and quit my diet the next day.

I eat it too if I crave it! I just make it less. Also generally I only crave once a month so it's not an ongoing thing. Same happened to me whenever I told myself I needed to diet I'd just eat more due to the pressure!

Do you think it has something to do with will power?
  • not terrible - I try to find something like chewing gum that will get me through it .

It takes 6 weeks for your brain to remember or forget. Yes, will power is needed, I don't deny that. But when you see results of your weight loss, it is pretty good cravings deterrent. Also, get rid of foods that you crave, so you don't have a reason to go to that pantry.
