Remember When....?

I remember when I used to eat a slice or two of bread with *every* meal. Not any longer! I've kept 30 pounds off for about a year now.

Do you remember a bad habit you've broken on your road to a healthier life? Share it here so others can be motivated.

I broke a bad eating habit, you can too!

When it would be my monthly time I would eat a whole bag of miniature peanut butter cups and drink a large glass or two of 2% milk. In one sitting. Now I'll just grab a sugar free chocolate pudding and drink some hot cocoa that is also low in calories and I will be satisfied.

Oh bread, bread, how I miss you! I can't have bread in the house because I lose control and eat all of it. So bread is limited to dinners out.

Cheese was another thing I used to eat a lot of. My parents told me it was good for me, high in protein. Well, it's higher in fat than protein, so it's gone now too. Again, limited to the occasional dinners out.

What was my favorite food? Cheese on toast, of course!

Soda! I can't believe I used to have soda every single day. I've had soda 3 times in the past 3 1/2 months. I do not miss it!
  • Great stories so far. Kudos to everyone who switched to healthier choices! It seems even the most addictive junky foods can be defeated by willpower.

Ah, how I miss a small bowl of cobbler with half-n-half or piece of tirimisu every day :D But I don't miss it all that much, really. It tastes better maybe once a week. Then it tastes fabulous! I still eat chocolate nearly every day, so it's not like I'm deprived, lol.
