Chocolate shake/smoothie whithout banana?

Options
Hi; looking for a good chocolate shake/smoothie without banana. I never could stomach it--I even tried again today; found a recipe that many raved over…All I tasted was banana and had to pour it down the sink:/ Any suggestions? Thanks:)

Milk, ice cubes, honey, flaxseeds, Cacao or cocoa powder and vanilla extract. This is my first try at smoothie/shakes. I read the reviews of several of the chocolate ones that call for bananas and they were all positive. I could not stomach it:/ They say that the banana is for texture and you really don't taste it. I could taste it. Wish I liked them, but gave it the ol' college try:)

Chocolate and strawberries are great! Try blending frozen strawberries and dark chocolate almond milk.

Pumpkin puree would also work. You don't even taste it

I love chocolate with PB2 and oats, tastes like a no bake cookie! Coconut milk, cocoa powder, choc protein mix, and almond butter tastes like an almond joy! My go to is almond milk, plain Greek yogurt or protein powder, chia seeds, cocoa powder, caramel extract, coffee, vanilla and a Lil stevia. Its delicious! Chocolate raspberry is great also!

The avocado and chocolate with a Lil mint extract tastes like a grasshopper; vanilla protein, avocado and mint is like a shamrock shake

I once read that banana serves as an emulsifier in smoothies, so does avocado.

I frequently use avocado or fat free cottage cheese or frozen mango as a banana sub in my morning smoothies. Like others mentioned, the avocado works well for me.

Try substituting the Banana with Seedless Cherries instead those are yummy then it tastes like Chocolate covered Cherries

Great to see some substitutes. I can't abide banana - even the smell makes my stomach roll.
Such a shame! I see my husband making up his shakes, and they look fab.

Why don't you just make the recipe... and not put in the banana?

I throw in a bunch of ice to give my shake texture, as well as some heavy cream and peanut butter for thickness.
