Herbalife!!

Hi friends! I'm on the last day of my second week on herbalife and I have lost 8 pounds! Up until today when I weighed myself, I gained one pound back! I don't know if I have already hit a plateau or if I am not eating the right thing to lose the most weight. Does anyone have any advice on what is the absolute most important thing to take while on herbalife in order to lose the most weight. Snack ideas? I was told to stay around 1250 calories and no more than 100 g of carbohydrates. Also no added sugar or added fat! Any advise?! Please and thank you in advance!! ☺️

did you just started losing weight ?
in the beginning it is always quick
because of water weight
secondly because of extra weight
but if you are near healthy weight ( bmi ) or in healthy bmi then it will take time
herbal life is not doing anything--- it is just the less calories that you are eating that is helping0 -

I lost 5 pounds in the first week! And I am barely eating 1000 calories a day. I'm usually only around 850-950 .. I just can't eat that much! I'm 5' 7'' beginning 182 pounds and now I am 175 lbs, I have a lot of weight on my back I need to lose (rolls) and a muffin too that has got to go! I'm getting married in December!! ☺️0 -
^^This.
And stop wasting your money on Herbalife. You don't need it. :flowerforyou:0 -
Out of curiosity, if you're already severely restricting your calories AND watching your carbs AND your sugar AND your fat, what does the herbalife get you? My point: you're already eating a very restrictive diet that WILL lead to weight loss. What does the herbalife add to that? (I'm betting nothing)
Congrats on your weight loss, but do consider not making all those very drastic changes at once. It's a lot to sustain.
And yes, read the sexypants link.0 -
YES, read the link that was recommended above. I've been following it's advice since 1/1 and while I've only lost 2lbs, I've lost an inch around my waist and hips already. Drastic calorie reductions go after water and muscle first, not fat, which I'm pretty sure is why it comes back so quick. (I did the HCG 500 cal. a day and it destroyed my metabolism, it's taken over a year to get it back on track) Be eerie of the weight loss fads.
Oh and congratulations on your engagement!0 -
What you are doing isn't sustainable.0

If you can't eat that much how did you get overweight?0 -
Read the links you were provided. And as for this:And I am barely eating 1000 calories a day. I'm usually only around 850-950 .. I just can't eat that much!
I'm 5'7", SW 180 lbs, CW 168 lbs, and neither one of us got fat eating less than 1000 calories per day. So yes, you are capable of eating more and you should be eating more. That calorie goal is far too low, and what is going to happen is that you are going to lose lean body mass in addition to fat, and you are more likely to gain back the weight you lose because those numbers are unsustainable.
Your goal is December, which means you have plenty of time to do this right. Ditch the Herbalife, eat a reasonable amount, and do the sexy pants stuff. You'll look awesome and be able to keep it up after the wedding.0 -
You are not following the Herbalife plan if you are eating at that big of a deficit. Get with your coach for tips on how to increase your calories and protein that you get in each day. I've lost 54 lbs with Herbalife by following the plan closely and working with my coach. When I first started Herbalife, I was only doing it for weight loss, but now I do it for so many more reasons, but I choose not to talk about it on this website, because you get bashed very quickly for following the plan. Please get with your coach, so that you realize you do not have to eat at that big a deficit to lose weight. You are missing out on so many benefits of the Herbalife plan by doing so.0

Eating the wrong things! I would eat about the same amount of food but it was higher in calories. It's the amount that I need to eat in healthy food, it's too much to eat!0

I get what your saying.....The volume of veggies/fruits and healthier foods to make up your calorie goal can be more then your use to. I've had days where all I did was eat and I still didn't get to my calorie goal. I had to add higher density foods. Oatmeal, protein powders mixed with veggie smoothies, eggs and whole grain toast. When I first started I assumed these were the enemy foods and I mostly only ate veggies, fruit, and lean chicken or fish, I was eating all day and by the end of the day, I had struggled to get to 1300-1500 calorie net and I wasn't necessarily hungry because I was literally tired of feeding myself all day. I don't know much about herbalife, but as I mentioned, I'm a little hesitant of any diet that isn't normal foods and exercise, based on my experience.0 -

There are plenty of healthy foods that are also calorie dense. Your diary isn't open so we can't really see what you are eating, but your diet doesn't need to be all fruits, veggies, and low calorie foods. I had pancakes, eggs, and bacon for breakfast today and dinner was pork loin, homemade mac n' cheese, and green beans. I'm still below my 1500 calorie goal for the day. Part of this journey is learning to eat all sorts of foods in reasonable portion sizes, not restricting yourself or limiting foods.0 -

Sorry I don't buy it. Nuts are calorie dense and I'm sure you could eat a handful. Saying it's just too much food is crazy, unless you have a medical condition you are capable of eating 1200-1600 cal per day0 -
All you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit. Remember that your weight can fluctuate up to about 5 lbs a day. This is just how our bodies are. I tried Herbalife and it wasn't for me, however I know people who have had amazing success with it. It does not matter what you are putting into your body. A calorie deficit is a calorie deficit whether you fill it up with fruits and veggies or a snickers.0

Never said you had to "buy it". Why would I lie about not being able to eat more food? I stay away from most nuts because yeah they are high in protein but they're also high in fat and carbs which I chose to keep fairly low.0 -

Does that amount of calories sound healthy and sustainable to you?
Ditch the Herbalife, it's a con, figure out your TDEE and eat 15-20% below that, lift heavy and do a little cardio, that's it.

From what I understand, you just started your weight loss journey two weeks ago. You probably have mostly lost a lot of water weight, and actually fat loss will come at a less dramatic pace. Also, you should follow MFP's recommendation and eat more calories. Under 1,000 is not enough.0 -
Oh look this thread again, stop wasting your money.0

Herbalife!?....NO.0

Fat isn't bad inherently. Types of fat are bad but healthy kinds come from nuts and avocados ect. Eat them. Carbs aren't bad but some kinds are worse than others like junk food carbs instead of beans and grains ect.0

sorry, I haven't read the entire thread, but my first week, I went to the vitamin shoppe, and after an hour of the employee taking me around and explaining everything to me, I got the 7 day cleanse for women. I lost 10 pounds. That 10 pounds was just backed up ****. literally. It did it's job. it cleaned me out and my stamina increased. I started riding my bike again and even I haven't lost weight, my endurance and strength have improved.
The point to all that, there's no magic pill. be happy about the weight loss, but don't focus on what caused it. The herbal life helped clean house, now go do something. Even if you don't lose weight or inches, it's a slow process. I've done three bike rides since my week ended. 33 min for 3.5 miles, then the next 28 min 43 seconds and tonight's 28 min 35 seconds. Haven't lost any weight but I've been doing 3.5 miles faster.0 -
I agree that you need to up your calories a little, and make sure you are eating a lot of protein! Also the herbalife tea is amazing. I just ordered the total control too and am hoping that helps even more. Message/friend me if you want more info, I have been taking it for about 2 weeks0
