Hi everyone. I am new to the community. Just a little about me, I have a 5 year old son, and have not even tried one bit since ive gave birth to him, to try to lose my weight. (I gained 80 lbs with him!!) I have completely cut out junk food and sugary drinks. And currently I am working out 20 mins a day. 7 days a week. Any suggestions you have would be great!!

If you plan to eat sugar treats ever again in your life I say add them to your diet. If you eat them in moderation it is okay. I do say don't drink your calories. Don't overwork yourself when exercising a rest day can have benefits.0

Small changes that you can maintain over the long haul are the best. You csn always add changes later. It is a marathon not a sprint. Some people like the accountability of friends. If you're one of them (add me if you like) find a goggle if them. And welcome.0

Find an exercise program you enjoy and can adhere to, but I suggest some form of resistance training to maintain LBM

and pick up a copy of new rules of lifting or starting strength.
Lastly be consistent and honest with your logging so you can establish a baseline and recognize problem areas and adjust accordingly.
ETA: Not necessary to cut things completely out unless you really want too, here is a link to help you with the concept of moderation...

I wouldn't completely cut out anything, even junk. Just cut back and less often. Too drastic too soon and you won't sustain your new habits.0

Welcome! Everyone tells you to drink lots of water and you should its great advice. However, if you get tired of water think of healthy ways to add flavor without the sugar alternatives. I like to add lemon or cucumber to my water. I have also seen people add strawberries or other berries.0

Take at least one day off a week from exercising. That one day or two can be taking your son to a park and playing with him. Rest days from intense, new exercise are important for muscle recovery and mind recovery. You are bubbly with excitement and that is so great! Try not to do it all at once, try to do the best you can each day. You are so sweet, I want the best for you!0
