This article from Runners World showed up in my newsfeed today (I've been using my foam roller regularly for several years now.....)

Thanks for sharing Brian - I have been using mine (although I am not a runner!) for myofascial self-massage and stretching purposes and it enhances my yoga workout massively - always makes me feel great afterwards.
Provided I do it right, don't use it for too long and ensure muscles are slightly warmed up before use, it's an invaluable piece of equipment if you ask me.0
