Hate my upper arms!

Over the past year I've gone from 186lbs to 126lbs but I've only lost about 2 inches from my upper arms. They're 11 inches now. How can I lose a couple more inches from them?

Hi there )
Awesome weight loss!
Do you lift weights? If so, how frequently and what kind of lifting?0 -
Is 11 inches big for, what I assume to be, a fairly small women's arms?
I'm not sure I'm picturing the proportions right in my head, but wouldn't significantly thinner than that look kinda twiggy?0 -
This is maybe going to sound stupid in its simplicity.....
Three years ago when I got engaged I worked out for 9 months straight, not a day missed in the gym. I had a very open back/sleeveless wedding dress so I knew my arms had to look super fit. Within the first 3 or 4 months there was a huge difference with a simple regiment. I started my gym sessions with girlie push-ups everyday, increasing the reps as much as I could. Then I would plank afterwards, starting with 30 seconds, and increasing over time, as much as I could. Those two things alone led to smaller tighter arms and I had lots of women ask HOW DID YOU DO IT. Well that's it. Old school basics.0 -

I don't, no.0 -
You want 9 inch upper arms? Are you teeny tiny (framed)?
I don't know about measurements for really petite girls, so maybe I'm being unfair, but 9 inch upper arms sound like a child's to me! I've always had me some biceps, though, so I really, really don't know
Mine did have too much fat over them, but that just went away with weight loss. If yours are not firm feeling (the muscles), definitely hit the weights. You shouldn't gain size there unless you try hard to do so If yours don't feel firm, you might get smaller when they tighten up from lifting.0 -

I second it - pushups and planks. And lifting weights that challenge you!0 -

I would start a weight lifting Regimine. If will be the most beneficial to your arms. You can either have an introductory course with a trainer at a gym or you can do an online program... But I caution that option for the sake of Form... Proper and correct form will give you optimal results and help keep injuries at bay... Therefor, I would sign up for a couple sessions with a trainer, if possible. If not, see if your local community college has an introduction course to weight lifting (PE) it's cheap and a semester of learning the basics.
But simplicity is good as well and planks, push ups, tri cep dips are a great place to start!!
My arms use to be flabby at -1 1/2 inches. I hated them. However, after years of lifting, they are bigger at almost 13 Inches but shaped and evened out thanks to my larger shoulders.
Lifting weights is a great thing when done correctly. Be sure to stay safe and always ask questions if unsure of a move0 -
Some of it may be genetic. Look at the woman in your family who are overweight / mom and dad's side if the family.
Try the exercises too.0 -
I bought really light weights from Target for $5 a piece - cheap. Possibly less. I work my arms and LB doing them. Muscle eats fat baby!0
