160lb 5'6 19 year old girl looking to get to 140 by May

Anyone with a similar goal? I'm really excited to lose 20 lbs. Last year I lost 22lb from January to April but I had a lot more weight on me then (I was 176). Unfortunately I gained some weight back last year but managed to lose some before Christmas (I even lost over the Christmas period' it was only 1lb but I was expecting a dramatic gain :laugh: ) This year I'm looking to lose the same amount as last year in time for the summer period. I may even try to push myself down to 130 by July.
My net goal is 1200, which is quite difficult and I often go up to 1300. However I walk ALOT so it shouldn't slow me down to much.
Would really love to hear from others in similar situations- not particularly overweight with a lot to use but just trying to get the body and healthy lifestyle they've always wanted

Hi, i started the year at 152 and trying to get down to 120 for the summer. 2 years ago i was 208 so it can be done, 130 by July im with you on that!!
Im only 5"4 and a fair bit older at 32 but if you want to buddy up im game if you are.
I cycle when i am not working but as i got made redundant 2 weeks ago have more time on my hands to work on my fitness but its gonna be short lived as i should get a job fairly quickly.
Definitely need to work on a healthier life style.0 -
Thanks I added you but marienvine, 1'm 35, so understand how it gets harder the older you get Fast metabolisms rock, but still takes hard work no matter your age. We can all do this!0

I have a similar goal! I am taking my time and want to get to 145lbs. I'm totally in denial and despite being 'on the wagon' for the past 3 weeks, I haven't weighed myself at all! Clothes are feeling good and exercise is keeping my endorphins up, but gonna weigh myself on 1st feb and take it from there. Would like to be at goal weight by my birthday 22nd Jue. Got ages, so slow and steady will win the race. And plenty of kettle bell swings!0

I'm 5'6", currently 147 pounds with goal weight of 120, and I expect to get there by June if I continue losing weight at the same rate I have been. So not exactly the same as your goals, but somewhat similar.0
