Plateau

Hey, I've hit the plateau, and its getting frustrating. I've been working out like crazy, and change up my routing day to day. Ive been adding cardio back into my routine, recently upped a good amount of my weights(i do mostly free weights) and have been trying to up my calories to my mfp advised. I know that my hard work is doing something, because i am seeing an increase in muscle mass, and my body fat percentage looks like its going down, but dear god is it not motivating to step on the scale and see that you have not lost much weight. Anyone have any tips to help break through the plateau?

Scale plateaus have been discussed here a lot. If you can't find the threads, Google "the scale lies".0

How long has it been since you last saw a drop on the scale? A week or three without a loss is fairly normal, especially if you're changing your routine so much.
It's not unusual to see a stall or even a slight gain on the scale each time you start a new exercise routine because your body floods sore muscles with extra fluid to help cushion and repair them. This extra water weight can mask any fat loss that's happening in the background.
Another thing to look at is how accurate your numbers are. Are you weighing your food? Using measuring cups? Eyeballing portion sizes? Are you eating back the extra calories you earn through exercise? If so are you using a heart rate monitor or MFP/gym machine estimates to determine your burn?0 -
Its starting to drop again. It was just starting to get frustrating when I would go to weigh in and it was still the same, or higher. But when I weighed in this morning and compared certain measurements, my body fat is starting to shrink, so I am starting to see movement again.0
