Garmin Forerunner 110 Help

I have had a Garmin Forerunner 110 for about 8 months. I hadn't used it in about 8 days and when I went to use it yesterday, realized that it was completely out of charge. I plugged in the charger and connected it to the watch. The screen briefly displayed "low battery" and then went completely blank. I tried leaving it connected to charge over night, adjusted and readjusted the connections and nothing. The screen is still blank. Would it make sense that I would need to replace the lithium ion battery already? How do I do that? Any other suggestions?

No, you shouldn't have to replace the battery after only 8 months. I would suspect the connection for the charger to the watch some how got knocked loose. Try charging it again, if no luck, it should still be under warranty.0
