Hotel room cardio?

edited February 11 in Fitness and Exercise
So, I'm looking for a little advice... I get my exercises in by doing cardio every morning (I have my own treadmill). I generally run 2.5 miles and walk for a while after. Next week, I'll be stuck in a hotel for work purposes and the hotel lacks a gym. It's also in a city I'm unfamiliar with and I don't really feel comfortable going outside alone in the dark and running (our work stuff starts early, so my exercise time would be around 4:30-5am). Any suggestions for cardio I could do in my room that wouldn't wake up everyone with rooms around me? Thanks in advance!

Welcome!

sprinting in place, concentrating on fast feet, followed by two or 3 burpies. Try and keep that up for about 25 30 minutes. Have some good tunes in your music player of choice.

If they have stairs, run up and down the stairs. I did this when I was trapped in a hotel with no cardio options. It's perfect because people who stay in hotels don't usually take the stairs, so it was like having the gym to myself!

This is good. And you can do jumping jacks too.

If you have a smart phone, download the app Sworkit! You can do 5 to 60 minute cardio circuits with no equipment! It also links up and syncs directly to MyFitnessPal. It's free in the GooglePlay Store for Android. The app has a picture/video to show you how to do each exercise and a bell chimes to tell you when to switch! It's really great!!

Since that's from nerdfitness it has to be good!

I'd suggest watching a playlist of videos on Youtube or seeing if you can download a quickie at home DVD. I normally don't advocate them but something like T25 or Jillian Michaels might do the trick while you're stuck in a hotel room.

These are great low impact cardio.....low impact for early morning or second floor rooms (you don't want complaints from downstairs)

Leslie Sansone has tons of low impact too.

I would get a jump rope and do it in the parking lot, or just do bodyweight weight training workout instead. I don't really like the idea of trying to do cardio in the 3 feet of clearance between the bed and the desk in a hotel room.

Fitness blender on you tube, they have tons of workouts, but there is one on there specifically for quiet workout...I did it in hotel room....can't remember how hard it was, but better than nothing!

There's a lady called zuzana who makes workout videos on her website and YouTube channel. She's fantastic and not long ago I saw her post a few videos from hotel rooms in the same position as your going to be in. Well worth a google, I rate her highly. Try searching zuzana light, I think that's what her programs called.
I'm not affiliated with her in any way, just honestly would recommend :)

Zuzka Light has a small space (and a hotel room, I think) workout on her youtube channel. It's cardio, and I don't think there's any equipment. As long as you have a good connection, her youtube workouts are fantastic. Talk about a burn!

Not sure if it was posted previously, but if you have an IPhone download the Nike Training Club App.

I used to travel a lot for my old job and I would request a room on the 1st floor so I can work out in my room (at weird hours) without disturbing anyone. If 1st floor isn't available, try to work out at a reasonable time or do the "Quiet Workout".

If you have a tablet, ipad or smart phone, laptop and access to the internet/wifi at the Hotel - log into youtube...there are tons of free workouts. Jessica Smith TV is my favorite youtube channel for workouts!

Zumba has an app, it's not free, but it's pretty much the zumba program.
