Is there such a thing as too much protein? Is this a bad thing? I seem to go over most days!

It's pretty difficult to eat too much protein. Additionally, the protein goal that MFP assigns is considered low, so going over your protein goal is probably a good thing.

Yes. Too much protein taxes the kidneys.

MFP is almost always low on protein. You should aim for 100 grams a day. I rarely meet that, but protein is a good thing. You should be going over what MFP sets for you.

It's not likely unless you have kidney problems. The MFP default is pretty low, and if you're going over it's probably a good thing. Try resetting your protein to 30%.

    Your goal weight ____ x 10 = ____ + 300/400 = __________
    (Ex: 110 x 10 = 1100 + 300/400 = 1400/1500 calories a day)
    Your protein intake:
    Overall calories _____ x .40 = _____
    (Ex: 1400/1500 x .40 = 560/600 protein calories a day)
    Protein calories _____ \ 5 or 6 (# of meals) = ________
    (Ex: 560/600 \ 5 = 112/120 calories of protein per meal)
    Your carbohydrate intake:
    Overall calories _____ x .30 = _____
    (Ex: 1400/1500 x .30 = 420/450 carbohydrate calories a day)
    Carbohydrate calories _____ \ 5 or 6 (# of meals) = ________
    (Ex: 420/450 \ 5 = 84/90 calories of carbohydrates per meal)
    Your healthy fat intake:
    Overall calories _____ x .30 = _____
    (Ex: 1400/1500 x .30 = 420/450 healthy fat calories a day)
    Healthy fat calories _____ \ 5 or 6 (# of meals) = ________
    (Ex: 420/450 \ 5 = 84/90 calories of carbohydrates per meal)

I am doing a challenge and this was in my packet!! This is one of the best ways to calculate. MFP was way off on my protein! Hope that helps!
