Barcode scan question

Hello
Not sure if I've put this in the correct forum. I was thinking today as I was putting the groceries away I could scan all the bar codes that way the info would be handy when I need it a few days later. However it appeared I needed to add each item to my food tally and well that just put me crazy over, but when I deleted them they were no longer available options, is there another way of doing this?
Cheers

What do you want to ask?0

Does this help at all? From what I gather, no you can't scan and save, but you can save the item as a meal instead.
