Hi I'm thinking about getting a fitbit and I know it can sync with iPhone 4s but do you need to have wifi?

No, but you need to have 3g or 4g for it to upload right away.

    Hi!

Fitbit syncs with your phone over bluetooth. So technically you don't need wifi to read the measurements of your fitbit. However, to sync with the fitbit website from your phone, you DO need wifi.

Alternatively, you will receive a connecter that will allow you to sync your fitbit over your computer as well. Assuming it has an internet connection all your info will get to the site like that and not via your iPhone.

Long story short: You don't need wifi to sync fitbit and iPhone. You do need wifi to sync phone and website.

It works with blue tooth. You only need data service (3G or 4G) for it to upload to the website. But, you can sink the fitbit to your phone via bluetooth.

Or connect your phone to any existing wifi when you're at home or anywhere else where you have access to wifi if you don't have 3g or 4g or g or h.
