Adjustable dumbbells?

Hello,

I'm bit confused regarding purchasing adjustable dumbbells. Should I purchase Powerblock Elite 90 or bowflex Selecttech 552?

Here are the two dumbbells I'm talking about, Powerblock Elite 90

Bowflex Select tech 552.

Kindly have a look at them nd let me know.

Thanks

  • I don't think the one is neccessarily better than the other ... there are other brands as well.

For your two options I would go for the Power Block simply because it can adjust all the way to 90lb while the Bowflex only goes to 52lb.

Weight range, ease of adjustability and how robust the mechanism is are far more important than brand name.

I am female and when I was looking adjustable dumbbells, I was looking for smaller weight range and I eneded up buying(asking Santa ) for the smallest powerblock. I love it, but that is not what you want .

Anyway I find many youtube videos comparing these adjustable dumbbells, and they help me a lot .

Hoooooolllly balls those are expensive. I never understood what is really wrong with the old school adjustable screw on dumbbells. Cheap as hell, the weights you buy for it can work with multiple bard(dumbells, curl bars, bench bars, etc), You can get a good working set for under a 100 bucks.
