Can it be too wet to go to the gym?
It is raining pretty heavily outside and has been all day. It is now after 5pm too.
I was planning on going to the gym when I woke up but I don't know if I can be bothered now. What do you guys think, throw it in for one night or should I move my lazy bum and work it out? It is leg day too which doesn't inspire me overly.
Is it ever too wet to go to the gym? Remembering that I have to walk and catch public transport to get there too...

Oh my GOD, I totally thought you meant something else by the subject/title of your thread.
And no. Take changing clothes with you in a bag. Unless you see cows flying, you get your butt to that gym, mister!

Haha, too funny. I am not the one with the sinister mind though but I won't hold it against you, it is in your name I guess...
I just have to find the energy to leave work.0 -
Just use the dryers in the gym locker room if you get too wet.0

You clearly do not live in Oregon or you would never go to the gym. If you don't get your butt out the door then at least get it off the couch and do an at home workout. Or don't. It's only your success on the line. Really, one day missed is easy to make up.0 -
Well, it being a little wet isn't much excuse. I've been walking to get some exercise in and it's about 20 degrees outside. I kept on walking. Just a few weeks ago it was below 0, kept on walking. All for 70 - 80 minutes. And these temps aren't anywhere near as bad as other folks are getting.0

Yeah, rain? Not a good enough excuse. Although, it may make for a less busy workout.0

I knew I could rely on you guys to motivate me.
I am figuring out what train I can catch now - well after I post this...0 -
I think your legs are winning the argument and you just want to be able to walk up stairs tomorrow lol.
Get up and go boyo!0 -
I live in Vancouver, Canada and it rains a lot. I walk to the gym also. But, I do understand why you feel hesitant to go. I carry an umbrella if it's raining hard, and it keeps me dry. I did recently get some weights at home, but that was after almost 2 years of walking to and from the gym.0

If you live in a city with a good public transit system (close together stops, shelters at the stops, frequent buses) then go. But having spent a year taking the bus in my town--where the stops are an average of a mile and a half apart and the bus only comes every half an hour, I didn't go out for anything but work in the rain or snow.0
