Ok I went out and had some pho this afternoon. I had a large bowl. Anyone who has been served pho knows what im talking about. I ate the majority. I was wondering how many calories this could have been. It felt like a light meal but I ate the whole bowl so I dont know. Any guesses?

There are none! Pho Thai is the soup of the Gods! Nom nom nom...

Or at least, that's what I tell myself. *nod* My wife prefers the bun bowls, though.

Actually I doubt it's very high in calories since it's a clear stock, the noodles, beef (or maybe chicken depending) and all the herbs/sprouts etc... probably average calories for a healthy meal.
  • Try and estimate based on ingredients and add them individually- roughly 2-3 cups stock/ broth, ounces of whatever meat or protein you had, cups carrots/ sprouts/ basil. The hardest measure is a guess on the rice noodles, just estimate as best you can.

  • Ok ill go with 700 calories. Yeah I ate 1700 total for the day than and felt like it was so much higher because I felt so stuffed. Note to self do not weigh at night out of curiosity. I went from 244.2 to 249.2 and I weighed later than usual in morning since I stayed in bed.I know thats water but still plays with head. Good night.
