Motivation and Friends Wanted!

Hi everyone! So my name's Regina and I'm in my mid-to-late teens. I have basically gone back and forth between eating a ton and eating practically nothing for a couple years now. Though this has pretty much averaged out to a relatively decent (though fluctuating) weight, I want to create a steadier, more regular relationship with food. I tried to use myfitnesspal a little last year, but it never really got off the ground. I'm excited to make it happen this year!

  • It's very hard to loose weight after your mid 30s. I have noticed that after my hysterectomy at 43 I have upper my weight by 13 pounds. Find out is it thyroid or metabolic issues. Believe me my husband has lost 12 pounds by doing this, me not good at putting in my food. I understand

Saw a great post on here that contains my new favorite quote, "it's all about you boo boo". I am sure you have also heard it's not how many times you fall, it's how many times you get up. Make it all about you and keep getting up. It will be a long hard process and there is a learning curve but you CAN do this.

I have lost 70 lbs since I began this journey on another program but have been stuck in the same place since July 2013. Didn't gain any back but wasn't losing either. I got back up and am here on MFP to help me with the next 40 lbs.

Although I've never been told or felt like it before someone on here has already told me that I am an inspiration and that makes me feel as amazing as the actual weight loss. Maybe I can help motivate and inspire you. Let's give it a try.

P.S. I have then and now pics on my profile if you'd care to take a look.
  • I have been on my journey for a little over a year now. The daily challenges with food choices and exercise is constant. Maybe that is what we take away from this? As long as there are daily challenges, there are daily choices. Where there are choices, there is the potential for progress. When you no longer have the struggle, you have chosen to give up.

Feel free to join my journey, everyone, and we can share our struggles together.
  • Hey! I recently recovered from bulimia/anorexia and I'm so ready to eat normal, too, so I'm finally going to use MFP =) I wish you luck and let's hope this year is successful for all of us.
