Weight loss for planning pregnancy

Hello All

I am looking to shed a few kgs as I plan to start a family soon, my current height is 164 cm with a weight of 77-79 kgs
I would ideally like to reach 70 kgs as my goal weight but that looks like it will take a while ,and I would like to plan a baby soon , I am currently setting a weight loss of 5 kgs (which is more realistic and achievable ) in a shorter span of time

anyone who is currently in the same boat as mine and any tips from people who have experienced weight loss prior to planning
pregnancy

thanks

I was actively losing weight when I learned I was pregnant but I'm not entirely sure of your question. Are you asking if it's safe? Or if you need to do anything differently? The only thing I did differently was start taking folic acid so that it had time to build up in my system, other than that I didn't change anything leading up to pregnancy!

Feel free to friend me and pick my brain!

My first post because I'm in the same boat as you :). I have a 2 year old already and I had a miserable pregnancy. I'm hoping to get in better shape and lose a bit of weight (even though I'm technically the same weight I was the day I found out I was pregnant with my first, I look very different and I've never been one to eat well or exercise) in hopes possibly having an easier pregnancy. Or at least be able to do a bit of exercise during pregnancy which will hopefully help with the aches and pains. We're going to start trying to become pregnant in August this year.

Hi All! Just joined for the same reason- I've battled weight loss for my entire life- but I am super active in the gym. Need to lose about 20 lbs before trying to have a baby- because I don't want to have to add this weight to the additional weight I'm sure I'll gain. Really struggling with good decision making and food choices. Anyone who has cravings and/or has a tough time saying no know what I am talking about?
