I feel weak :(

I recently got a membership to the gym in November, and I've been going on and off since then. Two weeks ago is when I started taking it seriously and going at least 5 times a week. Those two weeks that I have gone, I have felt weak, and not been able to Carry much weight. I take a c4 extreme but for some reason it does not help!!! Yesterday I did chest and triceps and I felt really weak and exhausted. I had no strength, I'm about 5'8, weight about 143. I'm skinny, and a beginner to the gym, I want to bulk up and just gain muscle. Are there any exercises I might be able to do or any routines to improve my strength or is that just a normal thing to a beginner at the gym? I don't consider myself skinny where you can see my bones, but I do feel that I'm small if that helps. Will ever build that strength because the two weeks I've been going I haven't improve. Please no negative comments, I guess everyone started where I was, I now just need some advice from bodybuilders that were in my position. Thank you!

Are you doing the same exercises five days in a row? If so, you a wearing your body down, without giving your muscles a chance to rebuild. You need a routine that alternates which muscles you use.
Someone will be along shortly to recommend a few books, but you might also want to invest in a few sessions with a trainer to really get the hang of things.0 -
Hi there I've never been to the gym and I'm not a bodybuilder, so I'm certainly no expert, but I think weight-lifting is the same as any other exercise- you build yourself up slowly, especially when you're new to it. Start with a weight that challenges you slightly and makes you puff, and stick with that weight (maybe just increase the reps slowly?) until you can manage it relatively comfortably, then up the weight and do the same. 2 weeks is not long at all, perhaps not long enough to see results. I think you need to be patient, just keep chipping away at it. "Slowly slowly catchy monkey" as the saying goes. Also, what's your diet like? If you have a poor diet you might not have enough energy to be doing what you're doing. Especially don't neglect your protein! Protein is essential for muscle building. As I say I'm no expert, but I hope I've helped in some way. Good luck with it, don't give up, but don't over-face yourself! Give yourself time.0
